The Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday announced they have placed the franchise tag on quarterback Lamar Jackson.
NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Ravens placed Jackson on the non-exclusive franchise tag.
The non-exclusive tag would allow Jackson to negotiate with other teams. It would cost Baltimore about $32.4 million.
If Jackson was offered a deal by another team, while under the non-exclusive tag, the Ravens would have the opportunity to match it. If Baltimore doesn’t match the offer, they would get compensated with two first-round draft picks.
