One teenager is dead and another was injured Saturday evening in a double-shooting at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, police said.
City police told 11 News two people — a 17-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy — were shot shortly after 7:30 p.m. at Pratt and Light streets.
The boy, Neal Mack, has since died and the girl was taken into surgery and is in stable but serious condition, police said.
Police said officers are searching for the assailant. Police said the shooting stemmed from a confrontation, and it’s unknown whether the two victims were together at the time of the shooting.
“This is an unnecessary tragedy,” Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said. “It’s about young people carrying guns, young people with the willingness to use those guns indiscriminately in crowds. It is about them having a total disregard for human life.”
